Call for Tender for the Provision of Services to Assess Potential Health Benefits of Polar Lipids Sourced from Under-Utilised Pelagic Fish Species and Co-Products

BIM wishes to invite tenders for the assessment of polar lipids through post prandial assessment of polar lipids on humans. This work would include the scale up of extraction of polar lipids from selected species of fish yielding the highest polar lipid concentration and bioavailability, encapsulation of such lipid, and organising a postprandial trial on humans to assess the effectiveness of the polar lipid against platelet aggregation. In addition, this study will also seek to understand the anti-inflammatory properties of the selected polar lipids on neurological cells.
