Η υπηρεσία αφορά τον καθαρισμό των χειμάρρων - ρεμάτων στο νησί των Οινουσσών και στην Ηρωική Νήσο Ψαρών από φερτά υλικά, απορρίμματα, αυτοφυή βλάστηση ή επιχώσεις, ώστε να βελτιωθούν τα υδραυλικά χαρακτηριστικά και η παροχετευτικότητα των χειμάρρων με σκοπό την αποφυγή εμφάνισης πλημμυρικών φαινομένων.
